PLAYING THE PAST: Iryna Pap, Valery Miloserdov, Dima Sergeev

“The main part of the exhibition are photographs from the archives of Iryna Pap., Born 1917 press photographer worked for the Soviet newspaper Izvestia. Their work is representative of a social realism in photography of the USSR, which ranges from photographs smiling factory workers and urban construction projects and documentation of internal party congresses. The affirmative imagery can in their context, both as a form of documentation, as would be understood as a document per se. ”
