“Foerster’s work conjures magic through the intelligent assembly of collected refuse. This selection of works was created over nearly two decades in a number of media, including sculpture, installation, photography, posters, zines, and chemigrams. The work speaks poignantly about the financial obstacles and the environmental impact of having an art practice. These challenges are often riddled with darkness for artists, and Foerster transforms these challenges into objects full of humor, joy and potential.”
