The New American West: Photography in Conversation

“The New American West: Photography in Conversation, a new exhibition on view at Pierre Yovanovitch Mobilier Gallery in Chelsea from June 11 to July 11, 2025, explores the evolving identity of the American West through more than 60 images dating from 1932 to 2024. Co-curated by gallerist Howard Greenberg and art historian Carrie Scott, the exhibition is centered around work from Maryam Eisler and Alexei Riboud’s 2024 photographic journey through Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah, and features visual explorations of the American West by legendary and contemporary photographers, that examine the myths, realities, and cultural nuances of the storied landscape.”
