LOCATION: The Wyndham Blake Hotel and various locations in downtown Chicago

Filter Photo is pleased to announce the 5th annual Filter Photo Festival, a five-day photo extravaganza dedicated to inspiring and educating emerging, mid-career and professional photographers. The 2013 Filter Photo Festival’s diverse programming will include portfolio reviews, lectures, panel discussions, workshops, juried exhibitions, artist talks, a portfolio walk, networking events and receptions.

The Festival will take place September 25th-29th at the Wyndham Blake Hotel in historic Printer’s Row. Off-site event locations include the Fine Arts Building, Columbia College Chicago, Harrington College of Design, The Museum of Contemporary Photography (MoCP), Fort Dearborn Camera Club, LATITUDE, and David Weinberg Photography.

The Festival will provide fine art and documentary photographers an opportunity to connect with important curators, publishers, photo editors, educators and photographers.

11 workshops designed to spark creativity and insight in photographers of all levels will be taught by renowned photo educators Elizabeth Avedon, Aline Smithson, Kelli Connell, and Walker Blackwell, among others.
